The Good Catch is a fun, dynamic, rewarding company to join. We are looking for experienced, hard-working, friendly people to join our team.

You must have a passion for producing top quality food and delivering excellent customer service.

 

Full training is provided. Competitive starting salary. Training in various stores may be required before moving to primary location. Must be willing to work over various stores if needed.

STORE MANAGER

The Good Catch is a thriving chain of high quality Award Winning traditional fish and chip shops based in the North West.

We are looking for a Store Manager to join us in our popular St Johns Store.

Our Store Managers work together as part of a team alongside business owners to ensure the smooth running of our popular stores. Successful applicants will be dedicated people, passionate about leading a team in producing top quality food and delivering a service that is second to none. In return, we are offering a secure position with room for progression and a competitive rate of pay.

Skills:

  • Fish and Chip Shop experience preferred but not essential.
  • Must have catering experience.
  • Managerial and team leader experience.
  • Hard working, reliable, honest.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be organised, professional and have excellent customer service skills.
  • Friendly, approachable and work well as part of a team.

Job Role:

  • Set up shop at the beginning of the day ensuring all food preparation is completed to an excellent standard.
  • Cooking and preparing our much loved homemade specials and daily products.
  • Ensuring products are cooked and preserved to the highest possible standard.
  • Following recipe guides to ensure meals are cooked to the correct standards.
  • Work as part of the management team to develop weekly specials and maintain an exciting food offering to customers.
  • Managing a team of cooks/fryers, kitchen staff and counter assistants. Ensuring excellent customer service is being offered at all time, cleaning is carried out effectively and daily checks are being completed.
  • Work alongside counter assistants in serving customers as well as fryers in cooking our meals; depending on the needs of the business at that time.
  • Liaising with suppliers, ordering stock.
  • Stock replenishment and rotation
  • Stock taking.
  • Maintaining H&S standards and carrying out quality control checks; including delivery, equipment, stock and premises checks.
  • Maintaining our 5* Food Hygiene Rating.
  • Responsible for carrying out interviews, work trials, staff inductions, training, reviews, and arranging staff meetings.
  • Delivering Health & Safety training to new and existing team members
  • Managing staff rota, holiday and sick leave.
  • Organising promotional activities such as social media information.
  • Preparing shop for entering awards and competitions.
  • Carrying out audits checks, following guidelines from Nfff (National Federation of Fish Friers)
  • Cash handing, paying bills.
  • Additional tasks will include working as part of the management team to develop areas of the business.
  • Must have managerial experience in a similar environment. Fish & Chip Shop experience desirable but not essential. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an individual who has the potential to add value to our already successful team.
